In the eleven heartbreaking months of the war against Hamas, I have had the sacred role of ghostwriting for many of the hostages who have come home from captivity, loved ones of hostages who have yet to return, and families of the victims of the October 7 attack.

These are people with powerful stories to share, and valuable reflections on both the war and the state of our world. Their voices need to be heard, but for many of the authors, not enough time has passed to have been able to fully reflect on how their experiences translate into personal, spiritual, and political narratives that touch the hearts and minds of people across the globe.

That is where I have come in. In every encounter, my role has been to not only listen to what these individuals have to say, it is to ask the right questions and discover the narratives that combine their lives before the war, their experiences on and since October 7, and the unique message they want to convey.
